The recent bombings in Gaza have led to devastating losses, particularly affecting innocent children. Witnessing what seems like an ongoing genocide amidst global indifference driven by financial interests is profoundly disheartening. These tragedies are rooted in the longstanding oppression in Palestine.
Moved by a deep sense of helplessness, I directed my creative energy towards action. Initially creating a poster to express solidarity with Palestine, I unintentionally developed a versatile brand identity system inspired by the intricate designs of Palestinian embroidery (tatreez), incorporating symbols that capture the essence of Palestine's beauty. This system is now accessible to all, empowering individuals to craft their own messages and designs, freely available for demonstrations, window displays, or distribution. Notably, my work was utilized by students at Cambridge University and projected onto the university building in protest of the institution's stance on the genocide.

The recognition garnered for this initiative has been incredibly humbling. In the 2023 STA100 Awards, my work was honored among the 100 winners, receiving the esteemed "Best In Show" award from one judge and an honorable mention from another. See submission here.
